This shite is just insane. I left Baton Rouge a long time ago so it's even harder to believe it's gotten this bad. You couldn't pay me enough to be a cop.
Crime has gotten better, just a terrible week.

4 dead officers and 2 shooters at large. More people are going to die today. Hope it's not the good guys.

No put the blame on that cop who killed that guy in front of that corner store. That's where the blame is.
There's been a growing disdain supported by the media and other groups asking for cops to get their comeuppance as a whole. This isn't something that suddenly started with Alton Sterling. It seems everytime there's a criminal shot by a cop, it's portrayed as unjust whether it is or isn't by these groups and the media. And it certainly doesn't fall in the lap of cops doing their job when dealing with criminals threatening civilians.
It's a growing lack of respect not just for police but for lives in general.

Got in an argument at work just now with a fellow co worker that says cops deserve what they are getting for killing innocent people that don't deserve it.
I can't even argue with stupidity.

Considering most cops are normal people and only a limited amount are exposed to any serious tactical training, its not really a surprise.
What if they were being timid because they were worried about being too aggressive and being fired for doing their job?

Yea I mean would you say the same thing about Dallas?

This is crazy. Our urban America is a powder keg.

Yes I hate CNN however they just reported that a 911 call came in about a man walking down airline hwy with a gun. Apparently gunfire from another person (ambush on cops) with an assault rifle. Not sure about this though.

But the issue is what is happening is basically what a lot of these people are screaming and yelling in these protests. Maybe not all of em, but I know I've heard a lot about the vile things said about cops in these protests, and now it's coming to fruition.
how is this any different than the rhetoric in this thread or in threads like it?

A couple of people were smart enough to log out before catching the hammer.

So I understand profiling is real, I have seen it in New Orleans growing up, and I am not against anyone expressing their rights especially in the face of tyranny real or perceived.
What will make someone like me 100% against any movement is the use of violence.

I can report that the one shooter that has died is a black African American.
