Can somebody tell me what the price tag would be on the guns this guy had? I'm thinking several thousand. Where in the eff does a guy hawking books in barbershops get that kind of jack?

The gun that was used is around $2K if bought new in store. He also had a $600 handgun and a basic looking AR for another $600-$800.
My brain keeps leading me back to both the Dallas and Baton Rouge shooters were ex-military. Something doesn't feel right about that (besides the obvious). Add that to the license plate of the two cats they let go in Addis that had a disabled veteran plate on it.
ETA: The Tavor that was used is listed on Gunbroker for $1750

I thought I read somewhere that the guy let go in Addis has family members in the Police force. I'm not 100% positive about this though. It may have been discussed and debunked in this thread.

Former military members are responsible for an overwhelming number of domestic terror attacks: McVeigh/Nichols, Eric Rudolph, Wade Page, etc.

That sight was probably a few hundred also

Add in the fact that the guy in Dallas was supposed to receive a dishonorable discharge but some how the paperwork was "mixed up" and he was honorably discharged

I believe he was supposed to receive an "other than honorable discharge" not a "dishonorable discharge"

Yes I believe you are correct. That's what I had heard read and just misquoted it.
Not sure how much difference there is but it will make a person wonder

From what I was told by a friend of the family, it still doesn't look good. My friend said he prays to god that he is wrong.

Someone needs to ask Gary specifically what "no justice, no peace" means then.
That statement is loud and clear to me. His interpretation must be different than mine and everyone else I know.

Anyone know why the sheriffs are still out in front of OLOL? Is that just standard procedure when there are injured officers at the hospital ?
Not questioning it, just curious

Military people here may be able to clarify, but the way I understand it is that an other than or less than honorable discharge is basically the military's way of saying we kicked you out, but didn't want to go through the rigmarole of actually dishonorably discharging you (hearings, etc.)

Honorable Discharge
If a military service member received a good or excellent rating for their service time by exceeding standards for performance and personal conduct, they will be discharged from the military honorably. An honorable military discharge is a form of administrative discharge.
General Discharge
If a service member’s performance is satisfactory but the individual failed to meet all expectations of conduct for military members, the discharge is considered a general discharge. To receive a general discharge from the military, there has to be some form of nonjudicial punishment to correct unacceptable military behavior. A general military discharge is a form of administrative discharge.
Other-Than-Honorable Conditions Discharge
The most severe type of military administrative discharge is the other-than-honorable conditions. Some examples of actions that could lead to an other-than-honorable discharge include security violations, use of violence, conviction by a civilian court with a sentence including prison time, or being found guilty of adultery in a divorce hearing (this list is not a definitive list; these are only examples). In most cases, veterans who receive an other-than-honorable discharge cannot re-enlist in the Armed Forces or reserves, except under very rare circumstances. Veterans benefits are not usually available to those discharged through this type of discharge.
Bad Conduct Discharge (BCD)
The bad conduct discharge is only passed on to enlisted military members and is given by a court-martial due to punishment for bad conduct. A bad conduct discharge is often preceded by time in military prison. Virtually all veteran’s benefits are forfeited if discharged due to bad conduct.
Dishonorable Discharge
If the military considers a service member’s actions to be reprehensible, the general court-martial can determine if a dishonorable discharge is in order. Murder and sexual assault are examples of situations which would result in a dishonorable discharge. If someone is dishonorably discharged from the military, they are not allowed to own firearms, according to U.S. federal law. Military members who receive a dishonorable discharge forfeit all military and veterans benefits and may have a difficult time finding work in the civilian sector.
Officer Discharge
Commissioned officers cannot receive bad conduct discharges or a dishonorable discharge, nor can they be reduced in rank by a court-martial. If an officer is discharged by a general court-martial, they receive a dismissal notice, which is the same as a dishonorable discharge.

There were also there threats of violence if Kip didn't step down.
Instigators typically like to push but quickly wash their hands of it when the consequences of their shite strirring happens.
That's the problem with BLM and people like Gary, they condemn these things after the fact but refuse to acknowledge their hand in promoting the hostility that causes these things to arise.

I posted a couple weeks back that our military trains killers yet does very little to help them integrate back into society.
There seems to be a hush over the fact that there are a lot of murders and domestic violence committed by military.
These latest two bought heavy into the Black Separatist movement. Johnson was scamming the disability system and Long may have been too.
I see private companies doing a lot more for veterans and actively recruiting ex-military than I see the government doing. I don't think there's a larger, sinister connection to the military with these terrorist criminals they just happened to have been trained by our military and used those skills for evil.
