His brother in Kansas City is the one that pulled a gun on reporters Sunday afternoon and threatened some more yesterday. He now has a sign outside basically saying stay away.

I disagree. They should go the other way and offer her a job.

Has there been any info on his phone/motel records? If that Malibu was a new one, I suppose it was since it was a rental, it should have had OnStar, too, so they ought to be able to track his trip location pretty accurately, assuming he tried to hide it by turning off the cell phone.

He posted all over the net, too, so there should be some interesting connections to be found on that. Will be something to watch them flush this sewer pipe.

What must have been going through his mind when he woke up that morning????? I am trying to get a pulse on what he was thinking. How could someone do something like this is beyond me. Just pure evil I guess. I mean he must have known this was not gonna end well for him. I can't see any way he could have thought he was not gonna die.

IDGAF but I am glad to know the last thing that went through him was a hot piece of lead.

I agree. Just can't comprehend how such evil exists.

He knew he was going to die and he expected to be a symbol for whatever bullshite he was selling.

What gets me the most about things like this is how stupid this person was. And his stupid acts cost all of these families their fathers. frick this guy and frick all of them like him. I hope he rots in hell. If you want to be crazy and stupid, do it to yourself and don't bring innocent people with you.

How can this POS run for mayor when she would be in charge of the same police department?
Let's see how that would work out!

All of these politicians (national and local) need to look in the mirror and see what side they are backing. And some of them are siding with the criminals. I cannot fathom that.

judging from his youtube videos, this guy was pretty far gone and completely delusional. But he still came off as more of your internet troll spewing hate but unlikely to back much of his talk up. Even in his little tour around Baton Rouge, he seemed pretty calm and lucid certainly not a guy that was preparing to do what he was going to do. Then again I guess that's the sign of a true sociopath.

Yep. Good point. He was way too matter of fact about what he was about to do. Glad he is no longer breathing.

I know its all hindsight, but it seems the biggest mistake these officers did was pulling into the seen in the shooters rifle range. Where the first officers were shot at was were the shooter originally parked. Looking at the map at the presser they pulled right up to that location and you can see it in one of those images. Just don't expect that shite at 9am on sunday. But damn, if they would have setup shop away from the area, it could have been a different ending

yeah, i'm thinking police need to double check their tactics moving forward when they get calls of guys with rifles. It's a different ball game when a guy is armed with "assaulting" rifles.

Agree. It occurred to me that his girlfriend might have been arrested in the protests. He spewed a lot of stuff about manhood and woman. Maybe he was trying to prove something to himself or her.

Note well. I am not defending him. He is a TPOS, I am glad he is dead, and I hope he died in pain.

I'm just trying to see how someone could do something like this, and it occurs to me that this was somehow a violent expression of a warped "cosmology."

Do we know anything of his background before Marines or about his parents?

I'm guessing the first on scene didn't have a clue what they were actually up against though

I understand what you are saying and I know you have good intentions but you really don't know all the facts on this case and how the officers came to be in the position they were in. The training is there. Don't make assumptions. I really can't say much more.

of course not but the call in was "dude with a rifle" though. i mean, those cops were there blind with all those buildings and cover up against a toy soldier. it was nothing short of a trap.
