So I'm 2,900 miles into a 3,000 mile round trip road trip without having to stop for a single traffic accident UNTIL...Baton Rouge. Two standstill wrecks in a 20 mile stretch because of douchebag drivers going 90 in a 60 mph zone weaving in and out of traffic like it's a frickin video game. Took 2 and half hours to go from Batom Rouge to Covington. Pathetic

I said feasible, not an impossibility with this state's government officials.

To be fair, what Baton Rouge lacks in efficient roadways, it makes up for it in chain restaurants.

No. I'm finally home an hour and a half later than I should be after driving without incident from Wichita Falls, TX to Baton Rouge today.

Outside of the middle east, Baton Rouge has the worst drivers I have ever encountered. Baws late to the plants, college chicks on cell phones... It is pathetic.

Sounds like you survived the Redneck Autobahn, aka I-12, you should be thanking God, not bitching on the OT

BR drivers do indeed suck but either you were incredibly lucky or are full of shite. Drove 2600 round trip last week and saw wrecks in Houston, Dallas, Wichita, Denver, and two more in between small towns. And also BR

Everywhere has terrible drivers.

When I moved to Houston from Baton Rouge I avoided the interstate in Houston because it was a mad house compared to Baton Rouge.

I actually witnessed someone going in reverse on 45 because they missed the exit for the beltway. As in they passed the exit, came to a stop, then put their car in reverse and drove backwards to get to the exit, on the interstate.
