Why post this?

I've been lots of places that feel like America, but I'm not posting about them so the NPC's can target them.

I wouldn't expect anything less from the trash in LP.

Meanwhile the states with the most stringent lockdowns and mask rules lead the nation in cases. Follow the science you inbreds! Wear 2 masks!

On Nextdoor today some stupid Karen type bitch was fussing that kids at the local junior high weren’t all wearing their masks perfectly and she wanted the school to hire people just to enforce mask rules on kids. Happily, most people thought that idea was dumb but there were more than a few who thought it a great idea and started the usual belly aching about the epic pandemic and how non-mask wearers are selfish blah blah blah.

One dude with an Indian (dot) name was surgically savage with his responses to these pearl clutching ninnies and he had support from others including a recent California refugee and an older immigrant woman who said she literally glad Communism when she was young and is horrified at the signs she is seeing now. I’m always glad to see ethnic diversity in the pro-freedom side.

At this point for liberals Covid is a religion and the mask is an outward show of devotion.

It's clear these lockdowns don't do much good at this point or Florida would be a big pile of bodies and California would have very few cases. But let's keep trying the same things over and over again and expect different results.

I think people on this board is a bunch of drama queens. I went have dinner at the Grapevine in Donaldsonville. They removed a few tables, All the tables were full, but people were not on top of each other like usual.. Everyone entered with a mask, there was no sign saying it was required, but everyone had one on. The staff had mask on

You get to your table, take it off. Just like anywhere else I go.

If you read this board you swear that wearing a mask is a big issue.. people think the government is trying to control them.. And yet I have not been to one place where no one was wearing a mask or where it was an issue for some people. After all.. Its just something you put around your ears to cover your mouth. Its not that big of a deal.

Lockdowns were understandable at first when we didn’t know what to expect. At this point they’re gratuitous.

Masks? I never understood the sudden mask obsession. Like overnight masks were collectively deemed essential. Doesn’t matter the type. A thin strip of cotton and boom we’re safe. One wonders why humans ever felt the need for vaccines of all we ever needed was a face covering.

And as all the data shows masks don’t work, the automatic answer every single time is “bc people aren’t wearing them correctly!” Which sounds hauntingly like when those same fricking people say socialism will work but it just never has been done correctly.

It’s a big deal in some places, and there are many people who want to make it a big deal. And yet as you say,
quote:

You get to your table, take it off.

So what’s the point in the first place?

Either this virus is an existential threat which must be taken completely seriously by everyone or its not and we should go about living and let individuals make their own choices about staying safe. Prolonged half-measures like what we’re doing now are damaging in many ways to the collective health of our society.

I kind of understood the initial hysteria but it's been almost a year and we've known what we are dealing with for some time. The vast majority of the workforce could have moved on with their lives after a few weeks.

Yet we still have these stupid rules where a bar with 50 people is unacceptable and needs to close at 11 but Home Depot with 1000 people is fine.

People are sitting down and you are passing people to go to your table. Once at your table you take it off an now you are only around your party. If you have to get up to go to the bar or bathroom, you put it back on to go through the restaurant.

Does something is better than nothing at all. And the people who will not go somewhere because they have to wear a mask there are just idiots. I just couldn't imagine making it such a big issue.

I've just never seen anything like this. I never thought something so simple would become this huge issue.

I was at Bass Pro in Denham this evening. While there were a lot non masker wearing folks the word "barely" would not describe what I saw.

Fudge shop was closed due to covid so that sucks.

You know what else we don’t have in Denham?

12 murders.

The killers and pedophiles were sorted out, the killers went to BR the pedos went to LP.. I wish there were numbers on ODs because I am sure LP would be higher (no pun) than EBR.

So it makes sense to take off the mask with your hands when you sit at the table - the mask that you have breathed all over - and then touch everything with the hands you’ve taken the mask off with

If you lay the mask in the table - you’re spreading germs, if you put the mask in your pocket or purse - then you’ve touched it even more

Then put it back on to walk to the bathrooms (unless you are the governor) and touch the door knobs and stuff

Makes sense
