Witnesses told her that while her dad and cousin were at the bar, a man took issue with some of the interactions the cousin was having with one of the women at the bar, Bowers said. Bowers said she was told two men approached her father. One tapped him on the shoulder and said, “Your old lady . . .” and then punched him, she said. Bowers fell out of his chair and hit his head on the floor, she said. “They kept hitting him while he was on the ground.”
Thanks for clearing this up. This seems much more likely.

If true, frick them all the way to life imprisonment. This is part of the reason getting into ANY kind of a physical altercation in modern culture is putting your life at risk (I know this guy wasn't looking for altercation, just a random point).
Until they start throwing the book at people for this, and that includes in instances where the person survives, people will continue getting seriously injured by retard fricks who are too stupid to realize the damage you can cause wailing on an incapacitated person's fricking skull.

I used to own a damn bar. It literally cured my tendencies toward alcoholism. Fights happen all the time often for no reason, often with wrong person etc. We had at least a couple almost every night. (It was an LSU bar) but I honestly never remember them ever being over sports.
Typically guys that ragged each other over sports would end up drinking together or something. You love of Yankees and his of redsocks are diametrically opposed are still common element to unite. ( you both are baseball fans )
Fights were over personal insults, spilling someone’s drink, frat shite nobody could remember and at least 80% of the time, girls.

Y'all really believe he just happened to be a Bama fan, in Louisiana, on a night immediately after the end if the game. That he was beaten, even after presumably p brain dead. That all this was just coincidental?
The next time someone just "happens" to die the day of the iron bowl I'm sure u good folks will not rush to judgement on Bama fans.
Also, what are the authorities gonna say "oh yea, he was a Bama fan and that probably had something to do with it. So football fans, watch your arse when u come down here. Especially Alabama folks. U might want to keep those millions of tourist dollars at home"
Yea, ohhhhhhhhh k.
Just the fact that everybody rushed to say oh no, no, this wasn't football related...speaks volumes about why they REALLY think it happened.

I’m sure the victim wasn’t innocent, he probably goaded them into it, not an excuse, but the reason

The guy apparently have an alcohol problem, multiple DUIs fights and alcohol related incidents. Cops said fight had something to do with his niece who was thrown out of the bar. The fight was at almost 1 am in am. Way after the game. His sister said had nothing to do with football game.
It sounds like they jumped to conclusions which were proven not to be related to bama fandom. But give it a few days for everything to come out.

If he spit into one of the guys face and that is guy that smoked him, like someone said, they will use “fighting words or acts” doctrine and they will walk.
Basically law in almost all Southern States allowed to to beat the shite out of someone when they say shite designed to provoke you or does something designed to provoke a fight.

Yeah because someone else is responsible for the actions of two random people. Also they aren't even certain if it was related to the game or not.

No. No they don’t.
I’m worried you don’t 100% know how laws work. Because “basically” is petty much the opposite of the concept.

The poly said it wasn’t over the game. It was two drinks that beat up and killed another. Plenty of folks wear Bama, LSU and other gear in bars all across the country.

Oh yeah, I'm sure it had nothing to do with the game. Even though countless people on here said they were going to do things like this to other human beings wearing Bama stuff.

The heart of Ponchatoula’s downtown is now an upscale area?

Since you seem unable to admit you were wrong, now is the proper time to let the narrative go.
Congratulations, Bama won the game, stop trying to create issues that don't exist.
