The Rawlings-Blake administration plans to pay Freddie Gray's family $6.4 million as a settlement for civil claims in his arrest and death — an extraordinary payment in a lawsuit against city police. The settlement — which is expected to be approved at Wednesday's meeting of the city's spending panel — will be paid out over two years, according to the mayor's office. The five-member board is controlled by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.

Hopefully this small amount of money will help ease some of the pain of losing Freddie. We all know Mr. gray would have made much more than that in his lifetime.

Will the Gray family return the money once all 6 of them get off at trial?

That's about 6.4 million times his net worth.
I bet his family is thrilled...I mean, heartbroken, he died.

Looks like his family is getting a new Cadillac Escalade. I bet it will have spinning rims too.
I guess being a lifetime slip and fall artist does pay pretty well.
Dude was a thug POS Heroin dealer and now he is immortalized. Welcome to America in 2015.

If I had a deadbeat junkie cousin, brother or Uncle, I'd sacrifice his low life POS arse for $6.4mil

No excuses for Freddie from me. But I also won't excuse what the cops did because Freddie was a junkie.
