So you’re asking for help and advise, but it didn’t occur to you to tell those you’re seeking help from which gas station to avoid? I guess it’s a good thing not many people are out getting gas today…

I don’t see you offering anything.

Op should confirm it was truly bad fuel before blasting the station.

Oh, my apologies. I thought he said he took it to a mechanic.

This happened to my daughter four years ago. Got gas at a Murphy, drove the short distance home, and the car started struggling as she got near our driveway. She told her dad, and he went out to look at it. I got on a neighborhood website and found a bunch of people complaining about water in the gas from that station.
She had the receipt, thankfully, so my husband called Murphy, and enough people had already complained that he was able to give them the receipt info and arrange for it to be towed to a mechanic at their expense. They paid the $900 bill to fix the issue without incident, and the car was fine afterward. That problem has been happening a lot lately, especially at Murphy stations. Keep your receipts!

At that point, you take out your phone and get a photo of your total, gallons pumped, and hopefully price per gallon.

I know, I filled up 25 gallons in cans, I wish he'd clarify which gas station.

Was the pump running slowly?

Probably not specifically “bad gas” as usually the culprit is water in the tanks under the concrete.

Just happens sometimes.

The fuel drop points aren’t vacuum sealed or water proof. They are capped but even then, water sometimes gets into the tanks

Don’t think that would cut it.

Is this in South LA? With everyone filling up, the tanks are emptying and the sludge at the bottom is likely getting pumped out.

Laplace. Just credit card receipt

How you going to post this shite, then disappear for 24 hours? Some of us bought at large Laplace gas stations yesterday for generators. I'd like to know if I'm going to ruin my $2k gen before putting the gas in it.

Which station was it?

Makes no sense, why wouldn't he name the store to help others.

Otherwise why even make the damn thread anyway.
