I agree with this. I actually have no problem with Bad Bunny performing in the SB, has no impact on my life. I honestly didn't think TPUSA would even have over 5M views, pretty impressed with how many people tuned in.

Same. He's a successful artist from a U.S. territory that speaks Spanish. In no world is that an issue for me, nor should it be for anyone. I think the people raging over it and sharing hot takes across the internet are immature idiots.

I also think the Turning Point response is a bit cringe, although I'm impressed they got such a turnout. I just think people like Kid fricking Rock and douche bro country artists being the face of conservatives is laughably corny and absolutely expected from the left.

I think pitting the two shows against each other in some kind of competition makes all parties look stupid. If you don't like the halftime show, do what you've done for literally every other halftime show you don't like. I don't see why an alternate Kid Rock concert was necessary, but good for them getting views and making some money I suppose.

Turning Point had over 25 million. It was aired on channels other than youtube.com.

What Idiot thought a separate halftime show would be a great idea versus the real show?

LOL, TPUSA created a halftime show, on the fly, that people had to search out. Bad Bunny was already on the superbowl. The lazy didn't change the channel.

Benito put on a good show

What was your favorite lyric?

The other show was just a flop.

You know how i know it wasn't a flop? Because you are starting a thread trying to convince people it was a flop.

Rather strange life you have. Feeling compelled to defend something that is "so popular". Shouldn't the merits fo the shows speak for themselves? Your gaslighting isn't fooling anyone.

Not hard to explain. Superbowl Sunday is a defacto US holiday. It's a cultural event and an excuse to bond.

But you just said millions time in to just watch the halftime show? Now it sounds like the TV was already on at the Superbowl party.

The poor Soy Boys have to use lies to feel better because Turning Point hurt their feelings, again.

Wrong. TPUSA literally sent out texts to donors and others that have signed up for texts, before the halftime show, to lure these people onto platforms that were showing the alternate show.

Wait, weren't you defending bad bunny's show last night?

I love how people keep inflating the turning point show but keep down playing the Super Bowl impact

Name your price and I will bet you any amount of money that bad bunny’s streams goes up more than the three people I’ve never heard of and Kid Rock combined

It’s hilarious grown men are trying to act like this is going to ruin the NFL and really put a dent in things. Like they just found some guy on the street to play halftime. And when you tell them he’s the most streamed artist in the world for the last six years, they just change the subject.

If the media was honest they would share the game vs halftime ratings.

I agree with all this. Besides, I was probably nearly 30 when KR became famous; he was just another artist to me, young kids listened to at the time. I never got into him. Well, I'm 54, so whatever year he became famous. And I don't like any of the bro country.

This exact statement can be said back to you. You keep acting like the turning point half time show was some huge cultural moment and are mad when people point out it is insignificant in the grand scheme of things

Same goes for the millions of woke white ppl we who don't normally watch football to tune in to see bunny sing lyrics in Mexican that they don't understand but yet it was "wildly entertaining" and "gave us hope".

I hate to be that person because I agree with your premise, but based on Reddit comments, nobody from Mexico understood him either. He doesn't sing "in Mexican". He sings in Puerto Rican style Spanish, which is very difficult for native Spanish speakers from elsewhere to understand due to them dropping the "S" from most words and the massive amount of PR-specific slang they use.

In essence: None of us understood it besides the people back in his home territory.

On the way home from a Super Bowl party last night my 14-year-old daughter asked me why so many adults get so worked up over who plays a 12 minute halftime show

I just looked at her and said that that’s the smartest thing you’ve ever said. It’s pretty sad isn’t it?

The TV is on already in most instances, yes. When I said tune in, I meant they literally start paying attention and watching the show. My wife wakes up specifically for the ht show. Then she immediately goes to Google and researches the meaning behind the show lol

The right is all about building parallel structures right now, and that's probably a good call.

But music is obviously an issue. Even film is showing some signs of progress (Angel Studios, etc.). But we're stuck in neutral on the music front if you want anything other than really bad bro country.
