Babysitter checking for monsters finds man hiding under child's bed

A few local mothers who know him are saying it was his kids:

A babysitter in Kansas found a troubling surprise after a child she was watching complained there was a "monster" hiding.
The babysitter found a man hiding under a child's bed after they attempted to show the children there was nothing under there, the Barton County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Wednesday.
"She came face-to-face with a male suspect who was hiding there," the sheriff's office said.
Sheriff's deputies arrived at the home just outside the city of Great Bend at 10:30 p.m. on Monday after they were called about the disturbance. After the deputies arrived, the babysitter told the deputies that when the man was discovered, there was an altercation.
The babysitter and child were knocked over during the scuffle and the suspect fled.

The following day, deputies spotted the man while they were in the area looking for the suspect. He ran and after a short pursuit, deputies caught him.
Martin Villalobos Jr., 27, was arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail on multiple charges, including aggravated kidnapping and child endangerment. The sheriff's office said Villalobos is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Villalobos once lived on the property, the sheriff's office said. There was a current protection order issued against him to stay away from the property.

A father who puts this much effort just to see his kids shows how much love he has for his kids. Mother leaves kids behind while she takes vacation, selfish.

Paint him the “bad guy” he’s a great person and wonderful father. He was just wanting to see his babies but sadly broke the protection order. He was worried for his children bc their mother is a drug addict. These comments are sick. Shows how fast people are to butt in or judge on a situation they know nothing about.

I'm sure the judge will love this

That doesn't make sense. The kids wouldn't call their dad a monster.
If the article doesn't say the dude is the dad of the kids and he actually is I'd call that burying the lede.
on second thought it would be a typical 2025 article designed to get clicks. Who cares about a dad caught visiting with his kids at his ex gf's home?

Sounds like he was a father desperate to see his kids because of their drug addict mother
Although I do agree that violating the restraining order by hiding under the bed is a bit aggressive, but I would not say that makes a monster as the thread title implies

This if true is 100% what's wrong with the "news" these days. The story would have sounded completely different (and not click bait) if it said "father of children found hiding under bed trying to spend time with his kids"

The amount of hispanics in the Midwest is really shocking. Drove through Nebraska a few years ago and stopped for gas in Grand Island. Felt like I was in El Paso

Confession: I completely ignore amber alerts for latino kids for this reason

I ignore all amber alerts. I mean I’m sitting in my office or on my couch and get an alert. “Ah, hope they find the kid.” And resume whatever I’m doing.

Father with a restraining order who hid under the bed when he found out the mother was away on vacation.

I wonder if he's related to the cab driver from Pulp Fiction.

Dude is hiding under the bed then runs away knocking his own kids over once discovered.
Prob a reason he has a protection order on him.

I turned them off on my phone. Seriously, what am I going to do at 2 AM and there is a 9 year old 150 miles away missing???? I know what I would do every time, I would get out of bed and pee and go back to bed and eventually get back to sleep about an hour later. I am sorry the kid is missing but what am I supposed to do about it???

So who did he kidnap? And why was it aggravated? Overcharged?

Exactly. Kid was probably already tucked in bed, then heard something and yelled for the babysitter.
