I like old school but not super-common names. I tend to think a boy's name should sound like it could belong to a president or a civil war general.

We went through our family trees and picked out a boy's name from that.

I like the name Brynlee, nothing wrong with it at all. I know several girls named Brynlee. Years from now it won't be all that uncommon. Some common name years ago would sound stupid now. Would you ever name your kid Melvin, Mabel, Lucille, George, Martha, Fred, Ralph, Henry, Dorothy, Mildred, etc? Those were all common names years ago. Yes some names are really out there, but Brynlee isn't one of them.

If you go with one of the four gospels or one of the 12 apostles not named Judas you can't lose.

Had we done that, we could have pulled Lothar off of a branch. Straight off the boat from Germany with that handle...

Best place to find your kids name is at Hooters or a strip club.
Seriously, walk into either and let the working girls know that you need help with your unborn childs name and you'll have all the women in the place at your table.

While that is a "boys" name, it can still be short for Alexandria or something similar..so that's kinda different.

most trendy names come from the women. they think they're being unique and trendy but they forget every other woman is on pinterest and the kardashians too.

names ive heard recently that make me cringe:

Hadlee
brantlee
kiptyn

Was it you or your wife's decision to name your kid that?

We found it much easier to pick out girls names than boys names for some reason

If you go biblical, go for one of the 12 sons of Jacob. Not enough Zebulen's in the world today

I'd choose all those over any name with a y in it and also ends with lee or leigh.

I was recently at the Smoothie King in downtown BR and had my smoothie made by a Trashundra.
