My IT guy celebrated his first Christmas here in the states. Vipal, was gifted an Axe Gift Box from his wife, Zara. He was excited at first because he felt it was a great "AMERICAN" gift. However, the team informed him how Axe is only used by younger people and they teased him. I exited my office to see what the tomfoolery was all about to find Vipal and the rest of the team already coming towards my office. The team put me on the spot asking if Axe is something I would use at my age--let's just say I'm not a Spring CHICKEN, any longer.

The question is, do men in the south over the age of 20, use Axe? And is Axe really an aphrodisiac? Vipul was told it attracts the ladies like Truly does with Sorority girls.

If his wife likes to smell it on him that's all that matters, sh***y coworker opinions are irrelevant. I'd sprinkle myself in paprika if that's what turned her on.

(my wife that is, not his)

I've got a can in the truck just in case of those days where I have to do a unload in the summer and it might be a while before I get to a shower...

Other than that I've got a bottle of Lacoste essential.

I’ll use the body wash, but not the spray. If I get an extra can in a box on discount, so be it. I’ll keep it around for emergencies.

That said. I’m married. I’m only trying to impress one woman these days, and if she ever asks why I smell like a mix of sweat and spray, then the can hits the trash.

Nobody knows what kind of shower gell or cologne you use. If it smells good use it because you will be smelling it all day.

Although I'm not sure if anything can hide the smell of Curry.

He wants to be "American", he can learn proper American responses like Your mom bought it for me and I hate hurting her feelings.

No way. The body wash dries my skin out and makes my back itch uncontrollably; I learned this in 2004.

Axe gets shite on b/c the OT ballers spend $$ on fancy colognes.
However, anyone who thinks Axe Dark Temptation smells bad(not talking about when it's first sprayed all over a locker room or bathroom), is 100% full of shite.

People are blindly hating on stigma, not facts.

This Axe spray has gotten me so many compliments over the last 15 years. I keep it in my gym bag.
And back when I was working two jobs I'd spray it on after a pizza delivery shift on the way to a bar/party.

I'd never willingly buy Axe body spray, cologne, or deodorant out of sheer embarrassment. I hate being wasteful though. Someone bought once bought me me an Axe gift set, so I felt compelled to use it. I will say, though, that Axe once put out some damn fine charcoal shampoo for men. Of course, the only thing I actually liked from the company they quickly discontinued.

I don't conform to other people or group standards.

I'm 74 and I'll use Axe if I dam well feel like.

Tip: If a guy's wife or GF likes one should strongly consider it.
