Thoughts?

Seems like a good thing and a bad thing for working parents. Kids stay in school while you work Tues to Friday, but Mondays would be tough.

Pretty sweet for the kids, though.

That could easily work for the kids.

Not exactly sure how it would work for parents though.

Unfricking real. Kids can’t pass a leap test for shite. But by all means, let them spend less time in class. This fricking state.

Probably want to save money on buses, utilities, and meals.

Same instructional minutes, just longer days.

Honestly the time isn't even the biggest issue

the quality of the education is just poor!

The problem is attention span.

I doubt it is the amount of time in class causing the problem.

And substitutes. I read a study where there are less teacher absences with a 4 day week.

Schools were never supposed to be daycares.

Can you imagine the bitching that comes from the teachers having to work longer days.

It would be pretty sweet, if you are a kid. But what the hell are you going to do with your kids if you are a parent who actually has to work 5 days per week?

To gain a weekday off? I imagine they would love that.

Lol. They can’t concentrate or learn for shite now. It ain’t gonna get no better on a 4 day week. I’d think they’d go to a longer school year with more breaks as opposed to a three month summer break.

Can you imagine how whiny the teachers will if they have to be in class for longer days?

They'll have to implement some sort of daycare for the working poor and it won't save them anything.

Pay for a sitter. Take off. Daycare. Family member.

What do you do during the summer?
