Louisiana is writing tickets like the budget depends on it. Unfortunately, I drive a bunch. After years of not being ticketed I got two in February alone, both for what used to be a safe 6 miles over the highway limit. I am now using the Waze App and that helps, but I see the top rated radar detectors are about $450.or more. Are they worth the investment against the current Radar?

If you go really fast, the cops won't even try..plus you'll save on gas.

After having to get 3 tickets "assisted" last year, I drive 74 mph to work everyday. It's worked wonders in avoiding speeding tickets.

Get one of those blue line stickers in the shape of Louisiana. You become invisible.

do the time/distance math to see what advantage speeding gives you over the cost of the ticket, and/or maybe leave a few minutes earlier?

Don't speed. How simple is that?

What raised my suspicions was that both parishes offered to keep it off my insurance if I paid it out of court. I was appreciative of the option but it's obviously not a public safety issue. I-20 through North Louisiana is littered with cops, State, Parish and local.

BS. I got pulled over in LaPlace driving my ex's car and she had one in the rear window. He gave zero fricks.

I'm almost pissed that I'm such a law abiding citizen, between all of my frat bros that are judges,DAs, defense attorneys, or politicians scattered all over the state I'm almost bullet proof

don't care to press to test though
