I’m 6-1 250. Rousey would absolutely obliterate me and most people in this thread.

My wife is about the same size as Rousey and I beat her pretty easily.

From my recollection in my younger days, the first person to land a good solid bare fist to the side of the other persons head wins.

It isnt usually like in the movies where someone gets hit in the face and stands there and smiles and then beats the other guys arse.

Seen it many times, had it done to myself several times as well

nah, she's getting thrown around like a rag doll. A better questions is how would this hypothetical guy do against a 112 lb flyweight male boxer. A little dude like that would obliterate RR in 1 rd.

Yup. She would fricking destroy anyone on here who is not a trained fighter. You bros even worldstar? I get it that most of those guys are drunk in those videos, but "sound" is not the way I'd describe their fighting style. More like "off balance" and "flailing". She would pick anyone on here apart. And I have no doubts that she can both punch with more force and take a punch much better than anyone on here.

ETA: The guys on here who are rolling out the "well, I'm 6'3" 250"...the whole point of their fighting styles is using your weight against you, not to mention that you'd be sucking wind through your butthole after firing off 5 wild haymaker attempts (which she could probably take still standing).

Would a guy with an average build (say, 5'9", 175lbs)with minimal fighting experience stand a chance against Rhonda?

Maybe with an open choke 12 gauge from 20 feet. I wouldn't give him much of a chance with a pistol.

Nah anyone is strong enough to knock her out. They just wouldn't be able to hit here and be passed out because of their lack of cardio in 90 seconds.

Ok, fair. I'll dial it back to, I'd bet my next paycheck she can take a punch better than just about anyone on here. I just watched one of her training videos, and I can say without hesitation that if I took just one shot like that I'd want to be done with it all (likely involuntarily)

Rousey has the skills most of us average Joes don't, but the question is would she have the strength and leverage to apply them.

She almost certainly has the speed and body control to prevent an average guy from touching her. And the endurance to keep that up until he falls over dead.

Here's a questions for you...how many 3rd graders would it take to beat RR?

Joe Rogan has a podcast

He says a guy with a minimum amount of training will beat most professional female fighters simply based on strength

This and the people posting above are both correct. The key here is some minimal level of training. RR would pick apart a guy who just rolls in swinging wild and gasses after 30 seconds. But you put a bigger male in there who knows how to move and conserve energy (the first things taught in any martial training) and the bigger person wins the vast vast majority of the time. FWIW, I fought competitively in college (and OT truth I wasn’t very good) but I knew how to move and not get worn out. I never had a problem with people who were just starting out. They would be done inside of 60 seconds. Likewise, I actually sparred full contact with a female medalist from the Pan Am Games who was WAY more technically skilled than I was. She hit me once when I moved in on her but once I got in close there was no contest. Strength and mass beats skill once you are on top of each other.

I remember you telling me that story on here

I've watched the retard he was trying to pick a fight with carry an outboard motor across the boat launch, open a tailgate with his free hand, and put it in the back.

There ain't enough whiskey or training on the planet to make me dumb enough to do anything to him

By comparison, monson was the little guy. 280lbs of pure muscle... Was the little guy.

Zero illusions. I carried him out because he let me. Dude may as well have been carved from fricking limestone

Well that and every guy here will instinctively go for the big overhand right punch

Then rousey would see it coming, get the t position and hip toss you

Obviously she’s not beating any professional mma guys out there that are legit

But couch potatoes or in 6-1 250, yeah you’re getting your arse handed.

If a member of the Cuban judo national team can make me say uncle 5-6 times in one minute then an Olympic medalist such as rousey would do the same to me

Here is Miesha Tate against 4 average size guys.

I don't have sound at work, but it seems like she is having her way with them.
