I'm just gonna throw in with everyone from now on.

Yep....we are on the precipice of another Dust Bowl. Nope......the chances you'll see rain at your house ever again are slim-to-none. Yep......gonna be 187° for the next six weeks. Nope......no relief in sight.

I will. No way around it. You will, too. We all will. Or, maybe we will spontaneously combust.

You found where I said this heat is Normal yet? Just checking.

I don’t know why so many people on this board refuse to agree that it’s hotter than normal

It doesn’t feel crazy hot to me, and I’ve been outside for hours.

Maybe I’m just delusional.

What’s the easiest mountain area I can fly to from Nola to get to some cooler weather?

It’s hotter than average here in BR. That can’t be denied. It’s been hotter than average now for 3-4 weeks with a few interludes.

But I do not believe my gas stove, gas water heaters, my cars or my gas furnaces are causing this to happen.

Exactly. I don't see how stating this fact is "bitching about it being hot because south LA is hot"

There have definitely been more 97+ degree days than normal. Most of the time during the summer the highs are 94-95ish and you get a few random days with heat advisories.

I'd kill for a day with a high of 93 right now. That extra few degrees makes a huge difference for me and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I'm ready... football and hunting weather can't get here fast enough...

Football and hunting used to signify a drop in temps. However, in the last 10-12-15 years, we have been lucky if we needed a jacket for any game post Bama. I remember when the first jacket game was usually Florida, first couple weeks of October. Any game in the last 15 years in August or September yes, sir, and most of October saw us sweating our collective balls (or tits—or both) off. We will be lucky to need a jacket at all this year.
