On St. Charles? One of Jones' best friends got married there Mardi Gras weekend DURING the parade. Parade rolled through in the middle of the reception.

Ah, yes. The live painting. The latest new craze in the wedding industry.

Spend those extra thousands on your honeymoon.

This x1000. I would never go through all that again. Eloping or going to the courthouse is the way to go.

Wow, surprised they did that. Most places won't do weddings during Mardi Gras season because it's so hard to rent things, caterers, get around and whatnot. That had to be $$$$$$ as well.

From what people have said, the price really isn't that bad considering all that they include. And I just love the place so much. I think there's a ballroom other than that top floor part.

Only odd part for me is that room on the very top floor. I've been to a rehearsal dinner there, and there were people on the deck swimming in the pool. You'd think they'd close it when private events are going on. This was like 9PM.

When Jones and I stayed there a while back, we spent the day at the pool and they started setting up for a wedding in the afternoon, and had guests arriving while it was still daytime. We (and like 6 other people) snuck out of the pool so quickly as to not be stuck in the middle of someone's wedding.

I don't understand why they don't close the pool for that.

I really don't know. You're probably right though. They definitely have some money, but he's also one of 7 sons.. and the bride is from Brazil and I know her family didn't pay for it.. so who knows?

Also was the groom's 2nd marriage

Yeah, pretty big compliment in that industry. They get Jason Cohen to do all their family pictures. He's great too but doesn't do as much wedding and normal stuff as he used to.

Courtney's great. I love my pictures.

She did yours? Man.. I just love her. I don't know anything about you, so snooping her blog is out of the question

Salmon had Mark Eric, and his photos are very good. He got lucky.. Mark is a friend of his.

She did. It's still up but a few years back.

Yeah, I would have totally gone with Marc but I had a hard enough time convincing my parents to let me bring in a photographer from BR. Bringing someone in from Alexandria wasn't happening. He would probably be my #1 right now. I love some of the different angles that he gets.

seriously though, if you're lucky enough to have a long marriage, im sure it is something you are going to wish you had when you are older.

Mark Eric is good
my friends have used Sarah Mattix(sp) before.

my brother g/f has done some modeling and my old neighbor works for mark eric, and they dont shut up about this guy lee lopez who shoots for him. Im not sure if he does weddings or not.
