There is a dangerous and huge black market for criminals to traffic weapons

It's almost as if people that are willing to commit violent crimes don't care what the laws are.

i dont think thats a surprising stat at all. if someone is mentally ill and wants to hurt others, they will.
im not an advocate of gun bans, but do think tighter control probably should be enforced. to what degree and how that looks leave a lot for debate.
the stat i would be more interested in seeing is
1. the number of fatalities (or injuries) per violent act in countries with bans or strict regs vs those without (not just US, but preferably all first world nations)
2. The number of violent incidences where the gun/guns used were procured via legal means vs illegally owned gun.

People who want to ban guns are the same people who want open southern border. It’s very obvious what would happen if those two things existed.

funny the people who are against abortion also voted against a bill to provide more baby formula.
They voted against a bill that would just throw money at the problem but had no real solution.
I guess the liberal solution is to just kill the children in the womb and then there will less demand for formula. Makes sense in a sick and twisted way.

you're right the only option is continue to let kids die.
They classic, logically flawed "do it for the children" appeal.
How about we remove the federal mandate of schools being "gun free zones"? It would help keep school shootings down if schools weren't made to be the easiest targets, because the government requires them to be defenseless.

Someone not as lazy as me, post statistics on drunk driving, texting, gang murders, school shootings, etc.
Just to show what a statistical anomaly school shootings actually are. And I know they are terrible especially to those immediate families.

texting
11 teens die from texting while driving per day but I don't like whataboutism arguments especially when statistics and facts are on your side.

Thanks Stout.
It’s facts. And facts are cold, lifeless, and can be dissected. Studied. Decisions based upon them.
Much much better than emotional knee jerk reactions.

I think comparing crime in the US and Australia is apples and oranges. How much thug Lyfe is in Australia really?
It’s like comparing crime in a country town vs an inner city area. Gun ownership is high in both areas

Criminals will always find ways to get the guns.
No matter what. Kerr can cry all he wants about gun control. Won’t prevent mass shootings and thugs killing each other daily.

That’s because it’s not a gun problem. It’s a human problem that isn’t fixed by getting rid of guns.
Crazy Charlie and company killed 7 people in their house with knives, and nobody sought to get rid of knives, because they knew it was Crazy Charlie that was the problem, not the knives. That shocked the country like few others had, and yet even they didn’t slaughter children.
It’s just getting worse man because our human condition is getting worse, and we are getting further and further removed from God, and His presence in our lives.
Let me tell you what the end result of every bit of this is going to be. Authoritarian rule, and a police state. That’s coming, and it’s coming because there are consequences to our behavior. And maybe that’s by design by people who have been trying to destroy our family, faith, and institutions for decades now. I think it is, but the end result is that it’s coming.
