W...T...F!

If the officer speaking with the woman didn't feel threatened then how in the heck can the officer in the passenger seat feel threatened? This Somali-born cop need to at least have his passport pulled before he splits the country. IMHO, he intended to murder this woman figuring he'd get away with the crime.

so we still don't have any explanation as to what actually happened?

They are going to say she appeared out of the dark alley way, ran up to the drivers window and he thought the cell phone in her hand was a gun. In reality, she probably did charge up the the car waving her arms and babbling since she was all amped up at the sexual assault she thought she was hearing nearby. Not at all excusing his frick up but I can see what likely happened.

Once again, police are jumpy lately after people have been outright asassinating cops like the one in NYC a couple of weeks ago. I would consider it wise to approach police cautiously these days.

Depending on how friendly the DA is with his officers might determine how this plays out. Charging your own officers is bad for business.

She was speaking to the driver of the car.

Are not known for supporting criminal justice reform, which a lack of is causing most major problems in the country. 9/10 if they are against it, it is probably a good policy.

I'd be interested to see how many of them would be just as supportive if the gun fired while an angle a couple 3 degrees different and he shot his partner instead.

BIG difference between speaking TO him and AT him and the investigation will make that determination. The media made it sound like she was standing there having a back and forth conversation with the driver and the other officer just unholstered and shot her multiple times. I don't think anyone thinks that happened. I am betting she came out of the dark yelling and the officer was startled, thought the phone was a gun and blasted her. It's the only scenario that makes sense. Still a massive frick up but also one where I remember officers doing something similar and not getting charged.

The woman would be charged for causing the LEO to shoot his partner.

Has there been a single diversity program that helps America? This guy has been on the force for 2 years and already has (3) complaints and one kill.

Side note to investors: As soon as a publicly traded company announces plans to implement diversity programs, short sell it and thank me later.

What's wrong about my post? I'm not calling the guy a terrorist. I found it funny that someone who was a big BLM supporter suddenly wants the narrative to not be about race now.

I agree he may have been startled... but there is a small part of me that knows it may not have been accidental. I just don't see a way that a trained police officer's determined his best course of action was tho intentionally fire his weapon through a closed door...understanding this would require the bullets to pass through an area generally occupied by his partner in some form or fashion. Unless he basically arm-barred his partner by fully extending with weapon in hand...to a firing position where the muzzle is in close proximity to (touching?) the drivers side door.

Powder burns on the driver side door's upholstery would be hard to work into an accidental discharge scenario.
