We dont have a justice system. We have a judicial system. They should change the class from "C&J 101" to "TPOS HAVE RIGHTS TOO 101"

Whatever................. "EYE FOR AN EYE"................frick these murdering fools... No reason to be able to sit in prison for years and years and keep getting an appeal........... If you are found guilty by a jury of your peers.... Game over. You should be executed within 6 months...............

Pretty chilling stuff coming out of the James Holmes trial...

LINK

quote:

And just who were those people? A means to an end, he told Reid, who has treated thousands of patients and testified in 60 to 70 trials in 20 states. The victims were “numbers,” Holmes said, “a conglomerate mass,” barely human beings in their own right.

quote:

Holmes didn’t know whom he had killed, and he did not care, he said.

quote:

Their deaths, he said early on in the interview process, had a simple purpose: to increase his self worth and make him feel better.

quote:

The way Holmes saw it, “if you take away a life, it adds to your own value.... Anything they would have done or, like, pursued, gets canceled out and given to me.” It’s a calculation, he said, that comes from economics.

i feel that in open and shut cases of murder, the offender should be executed... why waste the money housing an inmate when there's no possibility of an overturned verdict?

I'd say toss him in a fighting pit with the families of the departed he murdered. No weapons. Just let them have their way with him. Free admission to the public.

I'll go along with this. It's cheaper.

Since he IS mentally ill and WAS probably insane at time of shooting IDNGAF. put him to death or rot in a prison or prison hospital. NEVER should he see the outdoors without bars or barbed wire in his view.

Normally I am pro death penalty. When somebody is fricking loco I am indifferent. But medicating and reforming him for release years later? Absolutely not. Some actions taken by the insane are so terrible, being given a "pass" is unthinkable.

Either fate is horrible.

Sometimes I wonder if 50 years in a birdcage is not a more fitting punishment.

From my understanding, when one is on death row, they are notified 24 hours prior to their execution and are moved from death row to the temporary holding cell/death chamber. You have no idea how long you are on death row (2 year....25 years, etc). The guards just get you the 24 hours prior and move forward with the process.

Is this correct? That has to have an incredible impact on ones mind. Never knowing when you'll be put to death.

He has proven freedom is too much for him, as he is a terrorist which took lives. He should be eliminated.

This.

They need to have an option of insane but guilty anyway. Anyone that can do something so horrible, insane or not, should never be free again.

I'm not down with the government killing citizens. My reasons are numerous but I'm not going through them all. Once you get past your blood lust, it just doesn't make sense.

No. That is not correct. They still have access to counsel who will keep them informed of proposed dates, stay applications, etc.

Couple (maybe three) of strategically placed shots which will allow him to slowly bleed to death.
