Ahh ok. Thought you were saying that JBE was pulling strings to keep Landry from looking into it. Misunderstood you
No biggie. Just wondering why he's not looking at it. I mean it is his job.

A pair of handcuffs sure would accessorize nicely with her outfit along with a few other members in that room.

In an original lawsuit, Clark Amar and Dorothy Jackson took Plummer's family to court, trying to put the succession into motion.
About the new lawsuit, legal scholars at LSU said they aren't impressed with the defamation lawsuit and said the public shouldn't be fooled. They believe the lawsuit was filed to intimidate Plummer's family and stop them from talking about Clark Amar.
"Many people file defamation suits to basically get other people to shut up and go away," LSU Law Professor Ken Levy said. "There's no more polite way to say it. It's an intimidation tactic. 'Stop talking about me or I'll sue' is the threat, they'll go ahead and sue."
Straight out of the NBR playbook. fricking joke

McGehee said Clark Amar is paying her out of her own personal accounts and is not using Council on Aging money to sue the family.
If true, wonder where she got the funds for to do that?

COA board member on leave from Southern Law Center job as school investigates Elder Law Clinic
quote:
East Baton Rouge Council on Aging board member and attorney Dorothy Jackson has been placed on administrative leave from the Southern University Law Center while the school conducts an investigation of its Elder Law Clinic. +1 Dorothy Jackson Dorothy Jackson Southern University officials would not say why Jackson was put on leave or why they they are investigating the Elder Law Clinic. However, both played a part in a high-profile case in which a Council on Aging client left the agency's director in charge of her estate.

Isn't there a quote of her telling auditors that the timesheets were likely wrong? And admitted to lying about the hours charged?
There are at least 2 instances in the audit that mention that Amar didn't even have a time sheet so they weren't sure how much overtime she actually worked.
Funny that the top person had the most hours but didn't even have a time sheet.

Kinda. I think the auditors may have taken some liberties with their particular wording.

Ms. Clark-Amar stated that we would not
be able to differentiate her Council hours from SOS activities because she works a flexible
schedule, and her timesheets don’t always reflect the actual hours that she works.
There are a few ways to interpret that statement
