All this corruption in these BR state offices, bad local judges, and people like Gravy getting in bed with the mayor and not a fricking thing is happening to any of them.

I assume everyone on the board that voted to retroactively apply the new overtime policy is culpable.

What's truly shocking is the obvious lack of due diligence up the chain.

Dumas' emphatic "Approved!" after what must have been an exhausting 20 minutes of consideration on defrauding an already broke FEMA of over $10K in bogus OT charges is disgusting.

So now we've got FEMA overtime fraud and the issue with them allowing a political organization to use the CoA's nonprofit postage permit.

All they are worried about is police reform

They were probably threatened, so don't be surprised when some roll over on her

Attempt to hide the date of their policy change so the higher ups can take advantage of federal flood relief.

frick if I know. I live in Metairie. We don't have these problems. We have that one guy who was buying thong underwear for Jesuit kids, but not widespread blatant illegal activities like BR and NOLA

COA is pushing the envelope for Baton Rouge. This is pretty ridiculous.

They've had multiple opportunities to let this blow over but have decided to go the opposite route.

didn't find that but check this quote out

quote:

"What we're doing is called charitable gaming because all the money will benefit charity or benefit people of low income families or people who have issues medical or whatever, said Tasha Clark-Amar Executive Director of Council on Aging. "This is just an opportunity. It's a fundraising vessel to help support those that need help."

Chris Nokamoto needs to investigate the use or mis-use of federal funds in the Meals on Wheels or Meals program from the BRGCOLA! Feds reimburse for great percentage of cost of meals and if funds were commingled, could be another problem!

This kind of low complexity fraud/scheme seems completely rampant in black led cities. Do they really think they will not be caught ?

Yeah, buy a bingo hall, take the elderly's money so you can turn around and give them back the same money you took from them (at 30 cents on the dollar)?

I believe that's called money laundering.

This is becoming a state wide news story. Her mom won't be able to do shite, especially if they get rung up for FEMA fraud.
