quote:

He wears a green hoodie over an olive shirt, jeans and worn black trainers. His long greying hair is tied in a ponytail and an expansive dark brown beard reaches almost to his stomach. He beckons me through to the “sun room”, his favourite spot — two wicker armchairs either side of a glass-top table on which sits his laptop and an open bottle of IPA beer. It is 11.30am on a crisp Saturday morning. As we start to talk, I can see my breath forming clouds in the air in front of me.

I'll bet that the IPA is not the most effective mind altering substance that has entered his body in the last month.

We'd look like Yoda if we lived to 1000. No thanks.

Wow, is Chicken gonna stand for beardist talk like this?

That has to be the most beardist thing I've seen in a while.

He is trying way too hard to look 'profound', 'otherworldly', 'philosophical'. But inwardly he is hoping that people would be distracted and not realizing that he is full of crap.

I think it actually is possible.

But we can't do it now. I honestly think that within 100 years we will turn the corner on aging. There's a solid chance that our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be practically immortal.

The suicide rates would be off the charts if we could live that long.
