Attempted to get my watch battery replaced

and the jewelry store isn't doing repairs due to covid19.

So strange, I bought my Seiko at the PX at Ft. Lewis, WA in 1971 and have never had the battery replaced. Still works fine.

What kind of watch? Even a Michael Kors (fossil..) you can replace yourself. On the back there’s little notches where you can use scissors or pliers to gently unscrew the backplate and swap the battery. Put a piece of cloth between whatever tool you use and the back to avoid scratching.
