I’m on Essen and it’s unusable most of the time. I have to turn of LTE so it reverts to 4G just to pull up anything.
Am I alone? Wtf is the deal?

Yeah, I have that problem if I'm close to the edge of the signal. If I have full bars and it says 5g then I'm fine but it if it's not full then it won't connect at all.

I must be the only person that doesn't even know or care if im on 5G, 4G, LTE, etc. I just go "frick, no service" and go about my business

SWB is putting together a focus group to discuss this very problem that's plaguing her NBR constituents.

I’m fairly certain that “5Ge” is in fact just 4G with a dash of marketing.

That’s exactly what it is. Most phones don’t even get 5G anyway

Here's a little tidbit for you. It's not really 5G. It's still 4G under a different name. Plus, unless you have a 5G capable phone and on a 5G plan, you're not going to get 5G. Especially from ATT, who doesn't have 5G capability yet.

Y’all are missing the point. Signal is fine but to get internet to work I have to manually turn LTE off. This is much slower than regular LTE before this 5Ge crap.
