So your estimates have a 30% variance, but you know for damn sure it’s a perfect pyramid.

No. What I'm saying is the Egyptians built their pyramids, which are massive, and we marvel at them. We only have theories on how it was done.

Now, imagine what it would take to build something 59 times larger AND higher around the same time period.

The Great Pyramid is over 400 feet high. A pyramid with an 8.5 mile base would have to be as tall as Mt. Everest or damn close.

It's a volcano.

Wouldn't this 'thing' also be located right on the Ring of Fire?

Congressman Hank Johnson could have told them, that bldg something that big would cause them to tip over.

Maybe the pyramid was built on an island, but instead of “tipping over” like Guam, it actually just sunk to the bottom of the ocean?

Why don't you research how much water the atmosphere holds

So when the world flash condensates, and all the air in the world goes to 0% humidity (and stays there), thats when we see the big flood?

Let me know when you think that happens.

Not sure on the depth of this object, but the titanic is about 12,500 feet down. For comparison’s sake, the farthest an underwater vehicle has gone is about 35,000. I’m sure they’ll scramble a sub down there eventually, but you’re talking about a multimillion dollar expedition.

atlantis dude, grab some gold and rubies while you are there and cover the costs

Or, ya know, that there have been at least one, maybe two or three ancient civilizations that far surpass our current one from a technology perspective.

I actually believe this.

I could give you a bunch of wierd reasons I believe it, but you would all laugh. So how about one reason...

Archeological theory says the sphynx isn't all that old. Certainly not the 50-100k years old that geological testing shows. The primary erosion visible on the sphinx was caused by water.

That area has not been submerged in over 50k years.

50k years ago we were supposed to be flinging poo at each other.

lots of the timing and dates of various civilizations are likely off. Some very interesting alternative history books about that, how dates got messed around with trying to make various calendars match, etc. I don't buy all of it but worth doing some research on if you are into that kind of thing

After a quick google search into this, where are you getting the 50-100k number? I haven't seen, in my quick search, in alternative folks saying that long ago.
