...they decriminalized weed, which was the point of the post. I'm not saying they enacted the exact same law as Atlanta

Will you have a drug charge on your record though? That concerns me way more than money.

Houston did this last year. Less than 4 oz and you take a drug class online or something

What happens if someone keeps getting caught with less than 4oz? Are they going to make them a felon? If so its a dumb law.

There should be no penalty for under 4oz.

Fine with me as long as I can grow my own at home legally. Just like I don't have an issue with taxing alcohol production as long as I can home brew.

Just leave me the frick alone, that is all I want the government to do. Roads, Schools, national defense and shut the frick up.

And if they don't have priors they don't go to jail. What's your point?

The fish and game officers in Arkansas did this several years ago. It would suck worse to lose nearly an ounce of blueberry than pay a $200 ticket. Saying for a friend.

You could probably tell me what is less than an ounce...I'll agree.

But can you tell me the difference between an 30 grams and 27? Probably not.

The point I'm making is the officer will inevitably err on the safe side and arrest the individual unless it's FOR CERTAIN that it's less than an ounce, which is objective to the officer.

Either make it legal or don't. These quantitative measurements are silly.

I don't think so. I know once you complete the class it is not on your record. If you're on probation for other stuff then you aren't eligible for it.

I agree with you FWIW
