all DeKalb County schools are closed tomorrow
Dumb. Schools are mostly local and getting to school would not be directly impacted by this. This just adds one more layer of bs for working parents to deal with tomorrow.

It varies based on ambient temps and each project specifications have its own criteria. But as a rule of thumb, you have 90 minutes from batch completion to discharge if the temp is below 90 degrees and 60 minutes if over 90 degrees. Typically, anytime temps are above 85, the spec requires the use of cold water and/or ice in order to get the 90 minutes.
GADOT is a little different. To get 90 minutes with them, we must add water reducer and/or retarder regardless of the temps.

Fake news. Fire can't soften steel reinforced materials. It was a bomb.

That was the worst traffic I've ever been in.

Yeah once I found out I could just take 85 it was a virtual miracle. The 285 is a shite show
This. It's easier to ride all the way into town and catch 75/85 N than deal with the 285 shite show every day.

These look like concrete structures to me.

This will be a design-build on full throttle.....no thanks. Add to that the media scrutiny and every design firm better be VERY careful if attempting to engage.
I'd like to think GDOT could do it in-house, but highly unlikely. They'll approach us no doubt. I texted my GA counter part the moment it happened to warn him.

Just announced that both North and South lanes of 85 will have to be replaced.

Guess that takes care of the 911 conspiracies...
How long before someone claims Bush was seen planting explosive charges hours before the fire?

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or if you really believe that? High temps and reinforced concrete do not mix.
