Are they putting them on the "neutral" ground? If not and they are putting them in your yard, they need to lease or buy a small part of your property and the right of way.

fyi, it's the city-parish's "right of way", not "easement". the towers are not on an individual homeowner's property unless they goofed up.

The problem I have is how they dropped them without advance warning or at least an attempt to work with the neighborhood associations to better integrate them into the area.

They might not need permission but try to work with folks...They are your customers after all.

I've seen these things hung from aerial wires and on street lights. No reason ATT should have to drop new poles all over the neighborhood.

They're not. The lady just doesn't understand where her property ends and the city's begins.

I mean, I would be pretty pissed to if I came home one day and a 30 ft black pole was suddenly standing in my yard. I have wifi, I don't need cell reception

It wouldn't be in your yard.

I already have one of those school zone lights, if one pops up I might have to accidentally knock it down,

It also kills a property's curb appeal. I wouldn't want to buy a house with one of those sticking out like a sore thumb

There are better ways to implementing 5G

Not your front yard. The city's easement.
end of discussion as it pertains to AT&T

Sounds like a way that baton Rouge is going to get back at St George

The ones they've put in our neighborhood aren't 30 ft. More like 15 ft. They did stick them in between the sidewalks and street right in front of a few people's homes.

They're really not that big of an eyesore imo. I'm already used the one in my neighborhood. I'd probably be more upset if they just dug a hole on my property like they did a friend of mine without notifying him and planting one unannounced but I think a worse problem is litter by far. Also nobody will complain about their phones downloading at 5g while cruising down i12

No need to get all butt hurt pal. I'm simply pointing out the legal implications.

It's the city's property, so they can allow whoever do whatever on it.

Sounds like a good reason to seek better city leadership.

Yeah man, I'll just explain that to people when I put my house up for sale. "Ignore the pole there by the curb, it's not on the property"

If these places have UG utilities I can see why they are pissed.

If they have OH, then what's one more pole.

That pole would go missing one night if I was trying to sell my house and it showed up in my yard
