Early to mid 20s. Basically my military days. The fitness factor was off the chart and I was a lean, mean, fighting machine. Plus no wife or kids in the earlier part of that to drag me down.
Now, in my mid 50s and the wheels are coming off the bus.

Physically? Late teens, early 20's. Worked out nearly every day, played soccer (not particularly well) at Wisconsin, before I transferred to Bama after my sophomore year. I would love nothing more than a day or two in my 19/20 year old body. Nothing hurt, no long-term back pain. It would be glorious.
Mentally? Now. Hit the spot in life where I feel like I have decent command of the important parts of life. Work, how financial and real estate markets work, have good perspective and am much less impulsive.
I struggled a bit when I came back from Afghanistan and Iraq in my mid-20's and got behind in some important parts of life. Took a bit to get my career and personal life back on track. I didn't have PTSD or anything, but I definitely fell into and overly YOLO mentality for a couple years and missed out on career progression for about two and a half years when others who didn't serve were moving ahead in their career. I basically missed the first cycle of progression and had to chase a bit to get back even with folks my age.
Funny how it works, you can have it all, just not all at the same time.

I smoked cigs and drank whiskey my way through my 20s and 30s. I quit at 40 so I’ll say 40, in early 50s now but still feel good

I haven't hit my absolute prime yet but kids will all be over 18 when I am 45 and I am getting into the best shape of my life.

Health, 21. Health/finances, 29
Nearing 40 and feeling it.

Right now at 36. I started OMAD eating six months ago and feel great every day.
Know several people that do this and they swear by it. Just tough to get through the acclimation phase. What time do you eat?

I’ve had several ‘primes’
College was prob my peak in overall athleticism and body image (muscle plus fitness)
I’d say 35-40 was my prime in overall health and endurance. Was running marathons and got really fit. Clothes fit the best and confidence was highest overall.
Sort of let myself go for a while, but at 47 getting back into running and weight training. Also doing more stretching than I ever have. Starting to see results. My goal is to be in the best shape of my life at 50.

quote:26 years old. But I'm over 20 years past that and in the best shape of my life.
At which age do you feel like you were in your absolute prime?

For me probably about 30-33

35, not doubt about it. Best physical shape of my life and doing well professionally. Met my wife at that age too.

Physically, late 30s, before I started having foot problems which stopped me running...
Financially, today...

I'm in it now (early 30s). I don't see a situation in which my life could be better than it is right now. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm committed to just being grateful for everything at this point in time which is very different from how I spent the previous 17 years
