Well, that's a different situation.
Different breed that is better in the cold and you provided a better living situation.

Mine are on a concrete slab (so the caretaker can spray out the feces) the dog houses are suspended and have hay in them. I think people are confused they are just sitting in the back yard.

I think we're all losing sight of the goal here. Whether the OP is an animal abuser or just treating them like God intended, he clearly would like to improve their situation if he can but all he can come up with is hay. Your harsh judgement of each other isn't going to warm a dog very much.

He actually claims to be a sophisticated urbanite who splits time between NYC and Aspen. He probably uses the dogs for fox hunting.

Am I off base for being more suspicious of his claims than usual because he has the English skills of a high school drop out? I guess I shouldn't put too much stock in grammar, but this is the internet after all.
