Yeah that's totally the same thing as a domesticated dog. Totally.
Working dogs =\= your designer breed wearing a sweater in May

My designer breed doesn't do that. He went swimming in 10 degree weather this past weekend while chasing birds on a farm.

I just bring him in and warm him up afterwards.

Working dogs are still domesticated and unless they're built for that extreme weather, it can kill them.

Where is this -13 degrees number coming from?

OP said "below 15" not -13

I misread...its still ridiculous to leave those dogs outside in those temperatures without a heat source. They're cocker spaniels, not huskies.

Do you have a barn or some other form of shelter they can stay in? If not do you have some neighbors that do?

The amount of people in this thread so detached from the natural world and have never been around working dogs is hilarious....

i guarantee you if I took my lab to the pond this morning, he would have barreled in without a 2nd thought

I’m picturing him living on a lot with a razor barbed wire fence surrounding it. With a button he pushes to open the dog kennels all at once to release the hounds while some poor woman tries to flee.

I envision the dogs running around free while the women (yes, plural) have chains around their necks

Pathetic that you even have to ask buddy. You go sleep on hay tonight and tell me how warm you are.

He really should round up all of the feral kittens in the area and bring them in also. Kittens of any sort should never be in cold weather...ever! Also, please get all of the stray dogs a warm place to stay. They will not be able to survive in 13 degree weather.

And whoever lets a mutha frickin golden doodle sleep in a human bed is a giant pussy. Dogs do not belong on furniture. But that's what happens when cucka can't handle the responsibility of human children and pretend their animals are their kids.

Why in the frick would you have six dogs?

cause I like dogs. I've got seven, albeit 6 of them are strays that showed up and never left. Only have one I got on purpose.

So you have no problem with your child being born in hay then?

Is your pregnant SO cool with that?

But it was 47 degrees when Jesus was born. Big difference.

Create a warm space for them. Doesn't take much. A tarp or two to block wind and hold in some heat, some warm stuff for them to lay on besides the ground, and some cheap ceramic space heaters.
