Life is too short to be living in constant fear. I'm sure there's other unnamed/undiscovered viruses than can become a pandemic out there right now. The world would grind to a permanent halt if we worried about every single one of them.

Won't matter in a couple days. Complete shutdown of all businesses and restaurants is imminent. Y'all went from not taking this shite seriously at all to now panicking because you have to stay away from your job for a month. Take your own advice from last week and chill out. Take out a loan and stay away from people or you're only going to make the situation for yourself worse.

What value do you have with that job when the economy is completely collapsed because the rise of infections become uncontrolled? You do realize the infections are going to jump tenfold by the end of the week right?

At work right now, but I work alone, so it’s no less safe than normal.

Will actual infections increase ten fold or confirmed cases because of all the testing now being done? Big difference. It is apparent that there have been a large number of infections out there for quite some time.

That being said, were still working. Only change for me is eating out more to avoid the store and try to help out small restaurants a little.

We are tanking our own economy. That shite isn't worth it for a 0.5% mortality rate. Check my thread on the updated mortality rate from the Diamond Princess study.

Just say that you care more about money than people's lives. This isn't going to kill your 401k in the long run.

The only thing you care about is Trump taking a hit because of this, the upcoming election, and your pocket. You don't care about anything else.

I don't think pedaling panic is the right word. Obviously, to this point, no one has taken 'social distancing' seriously. In fact, more people sound panicked on this board from the idea they have to stay home for 2 months, now.

Convincing someone to stay inside to prevent a very real catastrophic overflow of hospitals and health resources is not panic pedaling. Not taking this seriously would only worsen the current problem and set back lockdowns even longer.

We have to shove this down people's throats because being apathetic to the situation would be absolutely detrimental. Louisiana in particular is seeing the fastest spread of any state in the USA in terms of a day by day basis.

fricking drama queen. Get back to me when deaths at least get to 4 digits. Right now all we have is a bunch of monkey see monkey do.

You’re the worst doomsday wish caster I’ve seen here yet. Give up a bunch of freedoms for presumed temporary safety. No thanks. Not to mention unnecessarily ruining everybody but the super rich financially. frick anybody that thinks like you.

Exactly. But where are muh bodies in the streets. The infected count is artificially low and hard to determine but death count is easy to track. If the uptick doesn’t come this week or the next then what? What mortality rate deserves tanking the country.
