The fry mature into adult salmon
The adult salmon are eaten by a bear
The bear dies of old age and it's carcass is scavenged by decomposers
The decomposers die, their remains are mixed into the humus
The nutrients in the humus support the growth of grasses
Buffalo eat the grasses
Buffalo shite chips
