When the kids I'm teaching now are the children of the people with whom I went to high school.

Really is a state of mind. I'm 30 and feel old as frick but it's my fault. After the first kiddo came into the world I slowed down, became lazy, and physically do just enough to get by. I quit pushing myself and I swear I aged 10 yrs. This shite needs to change because at 30 I should still be running around all afternoon with my 2 yr old and not stopping every minute to catch my breath.

I am 30, help out with our youth group at church. I realized I was old this past weekend when most of the high schoolers didnt know who garth brooks was

I just made 35, and I feel that shite all the time. But the thing that got me good was last year when I realized I was the same age Bruce Willis was in Die Hard.
For some reason, that one hit me pretty hard.

I'm 61 years old. For me, it's a combination of physical shite--aches, pains, medical conditions, etc.--and the feeling of being less and less connected to the world around me. This second thing I don't mind at all, in fact it's quite liberating. Beyond family, friends, music and what little I can do to help my fellow man, I give a frick about nothing--not politics, or pop culture, or religious preferences, or sexual preferences or impressing people or striving to make money or acquiring things or furthering my good name and reputation in any way whatsoever.
Feeling old, being old, is not an entirely bad thing. In some ways, life can be surprisingly good as you close in on mortality.

It really freaked me out the day I realized that there are high school students that were born after the year 2000. What the hell.

You all suck and are so whiny. I'm 59 and turn 60 (Hopefully) in October.

I keep forgetting if I'm 37 or 38. I think it's just because there aren't any "landmark" birthdays in your thirties so there's no reason to think about it or keep track. I'm 37.
I don't really feel old, but I have noticed that about every 5 years or so, I look back on who I was 5 years ago and think "what a fricking moron I was." Cycle repeats.

Yeah, we were talking the other day about how your average college freshman was born in 1996. I was a senior in HS in 1996.

If you take care of yourself "old" is just a 3 letter word. Just made 42 and I still feel 25 but damn this blurry vision shite as I look at this screen sucks.
BTW the womenz still look good in their 40's also

At 28 still playing competitive baseball will make you feel old, especially catching. I'm basically sore for pretty much half the year.
Not much of the physical stuff makes me feel old except the 2 day hangover, the stomach hates anything spicy, and the elusive hangover while still drinking freaking sucks.

I don't necessarily feel old, but turning 27 this year, I could no longer deny that I was fully an adult. Didn't really want to face that before this age, but I'm fine with it now really.

I think it hit me right about 27. Coincidentally this is the same time I got married.

I used to coach until my late 30's after a hard practice especially pitching bp my body hurt. I get what you are saying
Also the older you get h20 is your friend when you drink. Hydration is the key.

Something that caused me to have a moment recently.
I remember going to see "Back to the Future" at the theatre with my dad. It was 1985 and I was 8 years old. In the movie, Marty travels back in time 30 years from 1985 to 1955. If the movie were made today (going into 2015), he would travel back to 1985. MIND frick.

We have started having to keep gatorade and pedialyte in stock at the house
It's hilarious, my wife just made 26 and all of this 2 day hangover, 1 glass of wine hangover stuff is hitting her now.

Physically I hit the wall on being able to party all night around 27. It wasn't until my mid 30s that I hit the "get off my lawn, what's wrong with you young people?" stage. It also is now very hard to tell the difference between high school and college kids. They all look so damned young
