At what point did not being an American become a thing?

Everyone is an American. All groups put their spin on in. Asian American, African American, Mexican American and so forth. The Hondurans don't even put American on it. Why can't we all just be Americans. They moved here for the dream and they're living it in America. I'm so tired to seeing other countries flags flying here. I'm a racist and a bigot because of that apparently. Everyone gets the same justice in the court system but yet they're allowed to fly their colors even though they're Americans I don't get it up

When George W. Bush was president and schools started teaching kids to hate their country.

Have you had your right to fly the US flag suppressed?

I'm new to this. The up at the end of my unpunctuated sentence, left me open for ridicule. I fly in American flag on veterans Day which I'm a veteran. I do not mind people immigrating this country. But when you move to another country wholeheartedly you should embrace your culture. That is not what happens here in this day and time. Send them back.

So, do you have a problem with people celebrating their “middle eastern” religion in America?
Bet you hate Cajuns, St. Patrick’s Day and Columbus Day too.

For America being a great country as it is, it's the most culturally confused country in the world. Throw a bunch of people together with a lot of different cultures, and you get country with a lack of identity. Go ask people what it means to be an American and see what different answers you get, assuming you get an answer.
