I was about 21. Born in 83, and around 2004 I realized our govt lied to us about Iraq. Then, became a history major and realized that our govt has lied about a ton. That knowledge, mixed in with what Terrance McKenna (Google him) would call a “heroic dose” of mushrooms and LSD, made me realize most things within our society are bullshite, and that we are along for a temporary ride in this realm.

Nah, more of a southern surfer.

I remember going through rush with hair down to my shoulders when everyone was high & tight. Wore a hoody when everyone else had Polos.

At 17 went home with the Kappa Sig President’s girlfriend I met at the rush party. They peeled me and two others out of the group to show us the laundry area, and could tell that this was to focus on guys they actually wanted. So I laughed and bounced.

That night in TL when they sent girls to buy drinks for the candidates, I stumbled into the girl and talked about the events of the day, and we hit it off. She was older, it was a one night thing. But she did call me later, and we went to Lafayette for her to enter into a bikini contest and she didn’t wanna go alone.

And then we lost contact after that and I heard she moved to Mississippi & Dropped out of school.

Thank God I woke up from that and decided to live life under my terms.

I think one of the keys to success is learning when to lead and when to follow. The mastery of knowing when and where to do each is something that few people achieve.

15, my group of friends turned from being a little silly to absolutely dangerous and I noticed it right away. Did my own thing ever since.
A few years later one went to Angola for murder and all the other ones started a long road of going in and out of the parish jails to this day.

Never was one, except maybe for a year or two on college and just got old quick

I’ve always lived in places where i didn’t belong and didn’t fit in

Nothing much has changed in 40 years, but I was lucky to meet a guy who was a misfit too

I've always been the opposite, meaning the more people that followed a trend, the less I wanted to be a part of it. I hate crowded places, especially bars. I wear clothes for comfort more than style and have always thought less of the posers who wore addidas and never played soccer or the workout yoga wearing women who don't workout. I don't have a tattoo and have never done drugs because neither have seemed like a good idea to ME, despite the millions of people who do. My kids will never play travel ball or any other obnoxious activity that requires us to compete out of state with 3-5 practices a week. I can afford more than most of the people trying to keep up with the Jones but idgaf about the Jones or their facebook page. Fake people will never be a close friend of mine and you will never find me in a click. I beat to my own drum and my favorite poem is by Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken, because "I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."

I remember when I was about 6, my family were all Democrats and I heard Reagan speak on TV and asked if he was a Democrat. When told he was a Republican, I became the only Republican in the family. I always did whatever I wanted regardless of what others did or thought. It didn’t always work out well.

It was sometime in early high school. I was definitely a follower in middle school. Whatever the cool kids were wearing or listening to, I followed. I stopped caring around 15 or so. Haven't cared since.
