Spin-off from that OT poster saying he raises 4 kids on 140k.

Is that responsible? Think about the type of car, after school activities, college, etc

If you're a competent adult, having children isn't irresponsible, regardless of how much money you make.

Middle class. If you're poor it's a lot more affordable.

When you immediately must run to the government assistance offices once you have them.

That’s irresponsible .

You make sacrifices where you must to raise your kids right. None of that shite you listed has a damn thing to do with raising good kids.

When someone can send their kids to better schools and after school programs I think that’s a fine job vs the bare minimum.

I'm currently post-divorce rearing three children solo on $90k a year, and we make it work.

If you clear less than $1m a year then you shouldn’t (deliberately) have kids.

They will always be in the shadow of their peers.
They won’t get a new car at graduation (cash only), newest iPhone, designer clothing , a nice house with a pool (not in ground) etc.
if you’re workstation that 110% Walmart and not an arse or store manager, forget it.

If you’re flipping burgers then hell no.

Up for adoption. They’ll thank you later.

Most cars are 5 seaters. If you have 4 kids and they are younger side, the car seats alone make it difficult and will need 7 seaters which are much more expensive

Having kids is an act of faith regardless of income, since nobody knows what tomorrow brings.
