EDIT - Wait...maybe a different one. The one I went to featured the bride and groom taking a "Whole New World" horse and carriage ride around the plantation after their vows. It was the most awkward wedding experience I've ever had, and I'm a ceremony musician. I've seen some weird shite at weddings.

Must’ve been the standard package in the 2000’s there. The wedding I attended was around 2002. I was a date and had never met the couple. It was so weird!! I’m glad someone else got to witness.This post was edited on 9/2/18 at 9:09 am

He probably thought it was fancy because it was his first time at a wedding where people wore coat and ties.
It's def. a middle of the pack kind of place, but I think they do a great job there and it's one of the better values in the Nola area for a reception venue.
I was talking to the owner once a few years after Katrina. He said he had some low class weddings a few times that year. One of the wedding parties had a big arse brawl and there was blood stains leftover afterwards.
It was around that time that he also started a rule that he wouldn't allow second line bands at his place.
