My favorite is always McDonald's running out of burgers and Wendy's running out of frosty mix

Local Burger King ran out of meat.

Back in the early 70s my grandparents lived in Muleshoe. A lot of corn and soybean fields in that area. Had some great summers visiting their farm, very fond memories. Then they moved to Kentwood, much closer.
