LINK
That link explains it well using BTC. If you use ETH it's cheaper
Also if you wanted to avoid coinbase fees you could use thier exchange GDAX
All you'd do is link your coinbase account to GDAX

Very disappointed with coinbase so far.
The 7 day wait and limit is killing me.
If you're trying to daytrade and get in and out quickly coinbase isn't gonna be your thing. For many, many people (myself included) who are holding for the long haul coinbase is perfectly fine and is FDIC insured. But yeah if you're looking for quicker turnaround you're gonna want to transfer to a different exchange.

Hi Boomers :coco2:
Are you mad you listened to Jim Cramer's advice and invested into Macy's?
We just made over 500% in two weeks
See ya later Boomers

I can't imagine how much some of you have in this, I put 1k originally and thought I was losing my mind after talking to my financial guy. I wish I would have cashed out my retirement and put in this now instead.

Let's say everyone would have done that: what the hell happens to money as we know it? Does everything just explode in cost as well?
Posted on 12/8/17 at 6:12 pm to WG_Dawg
fwiw and iirc, being fdic insured is just for your USD on coinbase.
now they do say they store your coins(well 90%) in cold storage, but who knows

I'd still advise against that. With a significant amount of holdings, it isn't all that easy to liquidate.

No, effective prices would remain subject to the same factors as they currently are. We would just see an even greater explosion in valuation, and we would use smaller and smaller denominations of bitcoin to pay for goods and services. No one really loses, and early investors gain.

That's what I assumed. So gotta beat the wave of people buying...

bittrex is a little more user friendly
Posted on 12/8/17 at 6:32 pm to HempHead
At the time it would have been a smart move, BTC was under 2k
