I'm gonna say diversity is our best quality my be an issue.
Look at it this way how many foreign doctors do you see in the US vs us doctors in overseas w/ exception of charity work.
Just like migrants they come here to have a chance to make money

he’s a special type of OT prog. spends most of his posts shitting on anyone who thinks we shouldn’t have anything to do with the Ukraine/Russia nonsense in that abortion of a thread. He’ll be back to call you and I Putin sympathizers soon.

Let’s not bury the lead
Buc-Ees is a testament to the power of entrepreneurship and treating people well. The free-ish market allows them to pay more while being highly selective on who they bring in. They treat their customers extremely well, they keep their stores clean, they treat their vendors exceptionally well and are unwilling to allow distributors to mistreat the little guy.
I’ve grown weary of the crowds there but those crowds are there because of how well run a business it is
Europeans and their kind here would have you accept less pay for a worse experience in the name of social justice.
BucEes is a living relic. A glimpse into a time not long ago when Americans arrived for excellence

Bucees is creating the American dream for some hard working Americans.
Kudos to them and anyone who earns those salaries

42k to clean restrooms
I guess that’s why they stay clean.

There business model is great for weeding out those that don't deserve the pay then rewarding those that can make the cut.
You are paying one person for doing the job of two people. It makes perfect sense.
The only caveat, from some management, is that 60hrs a week is pretty much a norm. For that price it is hard to complain though and the type of worker they retain doesn't look at 60hrs as a limit. And relizes most 6 figure management in the country isn't working just 40hrs.

Id rather make 100k in Sicily than 125 in Baytown
Not saying Baytown is nice at all, but how much further does 125k in Baytown go compared to 100k in Sicily?
Additionally, living and working in a town is MUCH different than vacationing in one.

You would need around 3,635.4$ (3,374.4€) in Palermo to maintain the same standard of life that you can have with 7,200.0$ in Houston, TX (assuming you rent in both cities). This calculation uses our Cost of Living Plus Rent Index to compare the cost of living and assume net earnings (after income tax). You can change the amount in this calculation.
