they have been brainwashed to believe there is no male and female, so this isn't a surprise.

My 13 year old’s friends all seem to identify as some sort of variant on the sexuality spectrum. I’m fine with people liking what they like, but it feels like a peer pressure thing to fit in by being “unique.”
I have a friend who is a clinical psychologist. A couple of weeks ago we were talking and she told me that she recently had 3 middle-school girls, all friends, who claimed to have gender dysphoria. She said that after talking to them all separately they all said they didn't really but thought it was cool.
We are fricked as a nation.

perception among the youth is that it is cool to be queer. Queers are the latest generations hipsters with some overlap.

My son is 13 and there are a couple in his class that identify as bi or pan sexual (whatever the frick that is) and this is in conservative Birmingham suburb. Can’t imagine what it’s like in other places.

(b) identifying as LGBTQ is social currency in today's world and everyone wants to feel celebrated and placed on a pedestal, especially for something that requires nothing more than simply labeling yourself.
there's literally an academic paper on this (or something similar to it) that IMMEDIATELY caused an uproar
i believe it was out of Brown

In some states she could lose her license for this since it would be considered “conversion therapy”.

For some it’s a cry for attention and attempt to be edgy and special. But many were molested/abused at some point and are confused and don’t fit in anywhere else.
When I was in school these were the goth kids that wore black clothes, trench coats and makeup and occasionally shot up schools. Difference is the gay stuff has been promoted by the media and attempting to normalize.

If we ever have to go to war we are fricked.

Yes - I can’t believe how many of my friends’ children are gay
But a lot of my friends are either gay or bisexual - which didn’t happen til after their divorces
The other friends with gay children married soy boys
It's really nuts to me how much of this seems to be self-selecting
"oh my god my kid is trans, oh my god me too!"

It's the cool trendy thing right now

This county is gonna be screwed in 20 years when these fools try to run for office and lead this country.
On the bright side, hopefully none of these people reproduce and traffic will die down in thirty years.......

Hmm. The real number (from my experience) is about 10% in DC/SF/Portland, and is around 6-8% nationally.
Some of my gay friends that get around notice a surprising number of married or committed straight guys that fool around with other men on the regular. Apparently Grindr can be kinda shocking to them.
It's a stable number, just that the social environment makes people more willing to admit it.
To be honest, ask these folks again at 22 - and you'll get the real number.

astounding 15.9 percent of the generation — defined as those born between 1997 and 2015, currently between the ages of 6 and 24 — self-identifies as LGBTQ.
So a lot of these kids are in high school / college. All my teacher friends say the number of kids in high school right now who they they are LGBTQ - ESPECIALLY girls who think they are lesbian or bi - is off the charts.
I also know several middle school girls who on social media identify as non-binary. I'm 100 percent sure they have no idea what that actually means. They just see it online and want to follow it.
It's the hip, in thing to do right now. We will have to see if these girls change their mind as they grow up.
There is absolutely an LGBTQ "movement" right now and teenagers and college students have always wanted to be part of a movement. That's normal.

I have a friend whose stepdaughter just finished 6th grade at an all girls school and has decided to identify as a boy, wore a suit to the 6th grade graduation, got a boy haircut, wears a binding bra, and did a name change. The all girls school is extremely progressive, but what's telling to me is you know no one actually accepts her as a boy there otherwise wouldn't she have to switch to the all boys school? I highly doubt if a boy from one of the all boys schools put on a dress that they would let him in the girls school

Why would she/he want to go to an all-girls school if they identify as a boy? Why would your friend want him/her to go there?
