The reality is, there are a lot of sick fricks who come from all walks of life.
If you do enough digging you will find that this shite has gone on more than you probably assume because people who are sexually attracted to kids (as sick as that is to say) are going to find away to gain access to kids.

I don't have the answers, and I am not bashing the church. Protestant churches are just as guilty of abusing the trust between ministers and it's congregations. Preying on minors is a universal practice, as they are naive and impressionable.
The Catholic abuses trends heavily towards the same sex. That is why my hypothesis suggests it is closeted homosexual men that gravitated towards the church in an era when homosexuality wasn't tolerated. Just like when Betty was staying with her ill aunt when she was actually pregnant.

Yes, I do notice that when it happens in the Catholic church there is almost a media blitz, but when it happens elsewhere, like the article about the Southern Baptist situation, it doesn't receive the same attention.

Well during circumcision, the Rabbi would suck the blood out. Continued until a bunch of Orthodox Jewish babies, in modern day times, started dying of STD's. Now they use a tube, so there is no direct contact.

I understand how someone could feel this way, I’ve felt that way before. But then I had kids in an urban public school and though the school is great, Covid caused many families to flee to private schools, and the district piped in a bunch of poor kids from shitty areas. So I had to cut the Catholics a few grand in a donation to move up the list to pay full price tuition at their top notch school so that my daughter doesn’t get knocked up at 13.

How exactly is the original church that Christ founded an apostate religion? Do you believe all Christianity is false? That must be the case since all Christianity came from the Catholic Church.
Just to recap…. Jesus selected 12 Apostles, then died for our sins thus leaving 11 of the original apostles to keep his ministry going. The leader, Peter, of the apostles is recognized as the first pope. He is literally entombed in the church of his namesake in the Vatican.

It just seems statistically impossible for this many priests to be child molesters. How many priests are there even? I know it’s over time but still, hard to believe.

I do think there are people who are pedophiles who fight the urge and if they are Catholic, for them, joining the priesthood is away they see as an avenue to suppress it. Maybe in their mind, if they give themselves to god that will help them in some way.
I think this applied to gay men at one point, who were afraid to come out. Its much more acceptable today so I would think its less likely for someone who is gay to go down this road today, but yes I think it is inviting "scandal" by not allowing priest to have sex.
There was a priest who was the priest at LSU that is from where I am from, who I been knowing since we were kids. That was the first church he was assigned to. One day we had lunch at Chimes. He was telling me about how he ran the lakes in the morning. He would go at 5:30AM every day because he said he had to do it before "the sights" got there and by sights he meant all the attractive women.
They should keep sex workers on staff and give priest so many days a month they can have sex, but it can only be with a sex worker provided by the church to ensure they don't get into a relationship.
