Is it legal in the surrounding area, Pig Sty Junction or Hawg Shank Holler? Happy New Year!

They already started here but it was very expected. Our citizens safety group is well prepared and our local sheriff and his team have been awesome at working with us hand in glove to put the kibosh on the illegal fireworks.

I've been in the staging area for most of the evening but will be taking a shift around 11:30 which is usually when most of the level 5 stuff starts happening. Drinking lots of coffee. Hoping we can educate a lot of folks tonight and avoid arrests.

My 4 year old was pretty upset with the fireworks as well, crying inside in his bed because of all the noise.

And by crying inside in his bed I mean up outside wanting to light every smoke bomb, fire cracker Roman candle, tank, chicken, Saturn rocket, and mortar shell in sight.

oh goodie. I've now had 3 kids that were that age. They've all survived fireworks. It is 1 or 2 nights out of 365. They'll survive, and so will you. Hopefully when you have more kids you'll realize how ridiculous you were as a 1 child parent.

Exactly. You'd swear by the way they gripe on those 1-2 nights a year that they live this every single night. Sad.

I truly feel sorry for you. Things are so bad in the trailer that you want to lash out and attempt to be mr cool on tigerdroppings. 3 kids and act like that... Poor kids... Unfortunately will grow up to be just like you.

My post was not that we couldn't survive it, it was in relation to only the extremely loud and expensive fireworks and bc I have a 3 month old.

I know you'll be monitoring this response closely so I will allow you the glory in your mind of having the last word, you need it much more than I do.

Prayers for your kids...

I dont give a shite about the fireworks... Its the assholes shooting guns. I love guns as much as the next person, but blindly shooting high powered rifles in the air is so irresponsible. I have a bullet hole thru my patio roof thats about 3 feet from the window in my daughters room from a few years back.

I did hear a lot of 'noise' from the fireworks but also heard a lot of kids having a lot of fun! My wife and I went outside a little before midnight and could hear groups of folks enjoying theirselves and the free show was ok with us. Happy New Year everyone!
