There are several diseases that affect the lower GI tract which cause ulcerations and bleeding. Don't just to the cancer conclusion so quickly.
All the best.
All the best.

Prayers and positive vibes sent to your Brother and you.
10 -12 years ago I was experiencing burning in my stomach and was passing blood.
A Colonoscopy revealed 4 Polyps,2 of which were pre-cancerous.Since having them removed I haven't passed any blood.I hope your Brother is as fortunate.
God Bless and Comfort your Brother and you.

Prayers sent your way. If it makes you feel better, I had extreme pain and a fair amount blood discharge for a few months. We also feared the C word but it turned out to be something medication could solve. It isn't always the worst news man, gods got you covered

Keep us posted. If it is stomach cancer, I can give you the benefit of my experience.
No matter what it is, you need to be strong for your brother, as another poster mentioned.
The three emotional stages of cancer are:
1. Denial
2. Anger
3. Depression

My best friend has been discharging blood for months. He has had intestinal problems for over a year now. He was misdiagnosed with diverticulitis. Now the doctors are suspecting some nonsense and he goes in for a colonoscopy next week. My brother is my best friend, he is one year older than me. We've always been partners, having each other's back through thick and thin. He doesn't even want to talk about it and only mentioned it briefly. He's very prideful, hasn't even told our parents. I ask for prayers and and thoughts that nothing serious or life threatening comes of this as I am scared. Thanks all.
Respect, but jumping to conclusions on no basis isn't exactly gonna help you or him. Let the doctors figure out what the issue is, and do what they can.

I understand that but I share the conclusion of his doctor. His doctor told him horrible news which I do not wish to repeat (I'm a big believer in not speaking or speaking things into existence). Which is why I'm worried. But you are right, final tests/results have not come out so there is no basis and is also what is keeping me semi-sane right now.

It is human nature to assume the worst so try to stay positive and wait on the results. Prayers sent!

how many more prayers does he need until he's cured?

You're so cool.
I hope you remember how cool you felt making fun of a dude potentially losing a family member when you or someone you love is fighting cancer.

What an unfeeling prick. You're one of the reasons people hate atheists.

I'll make sure to say a prayer.
I have had intestinal issues over the past three years. Did a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago and biopsy luckily biopsies came back normal. I'm guessing I just have ibs
I hope everything goes as well as mine did.
