He didn't say it prevents it from happening, but making it legal increases the using while driving or high while driving arrests and accidents.
See Colorado.

which of course I think is absolute bull shite.
Educate yourself because it is not bull shite just because you want it to be legal. I don't care either way, but facts don't support you.

Not sure if Minnesota has concealed carry but how do you handle a stop and driver says there is a weapon on me/in the vehicle? I've seen first hand cop being cool with it and also one going full retard by pulling the magazine and trying to field strip

I shoot them, but i'm not from MN and I'm not a cop.

What is your take on the story in “my first encounter with an a-hole cop” thread?
If it’s true. It sucks for the guy. I highly doubt he would be arrested for being .01

what do you think about all the out of shape cops?
do you guys have any kind of regulations annually that you must conform to regarding weight and health? or can you just let yourself go?

People won’t believe you. I can honestly say, a lot officers have let people go in those type of situations

Is it true 75% of cops are on the take?

Most people who admit they are carrying, are not gonna be dumb. I honestly tell people just don’t reach and if they are cool I’ll grab the gun and bull Shiet with them about it. Some cops freak about that stuff.

They’ll die on the job or die young.

Nothing annually but we can participate in the PT testing and get cheaper insurance. We used to get a block of PTO for reaching a certain goal. If you beat each hiring standard and improved we used to get somewhere between 20-25 hours of PTO.

Why Minnesota? It’s frikkin cold up there.

90% white people. And more hunting and fishing than you can shake a stick at.

No.
A buddy of mine was 'asked' to retire or take a 30% pay cut for not meeting his.
He was at 25 years, so he retired

Not a question, but coming from a US Marshal - thank you for what you do on a day to day basis, I don't think I could do it and our work is somewhat similar. I'd say your job is much harder - and more thankless - than mine.
Respect police officers people, it will get you much better results but also they're just doing their jobs like you do when you go to work every day; only when you go to work your life isn't on the line on a regular basis.

This was a great thread. Thanks for the work you do and for trying to do the right thing in your encounters with our society's underbelly.

Minnesota is pretty decent. Only problem it’s very liberal.
Posted on 12/15/18 at 10:49 pm to dbbuilder79
Well that’s what unions are for. Sucks he had to retire, but sounds like a shitty department that doesn’t treat there officers right or the community.

Appreciate it brother. Some of the Shiet you guys do is nuts. Worked with Marshalls before and they were very well trained and respected. Be safe out there and keep up the good work.

Appreciate it. I made the thread to see if people had questions and also for a good time. Not every cop is a dick or out to get you. Some are but not everyone. We’re all human and aren’t any different then you.

My dad was a WVa State Trooper (Plymouth Fury )
I had a flat in a f’ng freezing monsoon a couple weeks ago. An OH State Trooper got out and got traffic the hell over while I put my spare on.
I’m sure there’s bad apples out there, but that dude was cool as hell and stood there in that shite until I was good to go.
I’ve had plenty of interactions with the the law, but maybe since common decency goes a long way, none of them went sideways.
Anyway, thanks for braving this thread and you answered my “9 you’re fine 10 you’re mine” question before I could post it.
