I live in the LP and I’ll say LP. However we are further from the plants so that is a plus.

If you have kids elementary to high school age then LP is for you. Solid schools and as long as you don’t move into a trailer park you can expect them not to get into trash. LP actually has some very nice neighborhoods, but don’t let the secret out.

If you are single or married with no kids then AP has better options for housing and easier commute to BTR.

Ascension is trashier. Please, everyone looking to relocate , move to the utopia that is Livingston Parish.

Before you entertain that land offer, do yourself a favor and drive in a bit

Also, I'd assume anything built there now will have to be on piers/stilts

Kind of like choosing if you want to cut your left nut off or your right.

LP is trashy and they know it. They embrace it.

However, AP is trashier. I’ve never understand why such a large group of people claim to be Cajun. You’re not. You make shitty jambalaya and claim to be Cajun.

I’ve got no dog in this fight but have spent plenty of time in both.

LP is far and away a trashier parish than AP. It’s really not close.

To say they don’t know how to make good jambalaya in the jambalaya capital of the world is just blasphemy.
