refund tuition for april and may?

If the private schools get PPP, I don’t see why it would be unheard of to get some sort of refund or credit...

and I haven't heard the first teacher complain or even question the effect this will have on the "children's" education. I would have thought that at least one teacher would object and emphasize the negative effect this could have on the kid's progress.

Are you kidding me? No teacher wants the school year to end like this. We value the time with our students in our classroom. Virtual learning sucks. I feel like I am not able to give a quality education when I am not face to face with the students. I can’t just walk across the classroom to help a student when they need help. This will have major negative impacts on the kid’s progress. Students regress in the summer as it is and now there will be a HUGE regression with a lot of new skills missed.
I am not happy we aren’t going back. I have taught my current students for 2 years now, and the fact I can’t finish the year with them breaks my heart.

You do realize our “shite” pay is only for 180 days that we work. If you think we are babysitters, I invite you to either SUB or sit in my classroom for a day. Why don’t you ask a student if they think we are babysitters? I’m sure they would have a completely different answer.

I got one in private. Principal already told me no chance for a refund.

I honestly never even thought there was a remote chance of this. I've just been enjoying not paying for aftercare.

That is how I feel. My kids school charges tuition upfront for the school year. 19-20 School year was paid in full May of 2019. Now 20-21 School year tuition is due next month, in full.

No School since mid March. I can understand older kids that have iPads and teachers holding virtual classrooms not receiving any kind of credit. However, kids Pre-k2-Kindergarten or even 1st-2nd grade that are just getting stuff posted on a school website should receive some kind of credit.

My Pre-k3 kid literally has only gotten coloring sheets to download and send in once a week. My kindergartner class has gotten math and other assignments, plus use of a website their teacher "monitors" with stuff on it. There hasn't been anything sent back being graded, no updates saying hey, your kid needs to work on this, etc.

Just seems kind of shitty.
