What's the number of African Americans killed by other African Americans this year?

It's not an epidemic? I guess we should wait for it reach "epidemic" status until we talk about it. Worked out pretty well for that little Polio incident a few years back.

Perfection is an intractable goal when humans are involved. What is it going to take for people to understand that not everything you see in the media is a call to arms to fight for one cause or another?

You're right, it happens, and one IS way too many... But you can't stop it completely. All you can do is find a better way to prosecute the ones that do it with malicious intent or without due cause.

And here we go....

Does NOT give cops any authority to abuse their power. Your argument is moot.

You can be disgusted with both black-on-black violence and cop-on-citizen violence.

All you lemmings who need everything to have a line drawn the middle of it and herded to one side or the other are exhausting.

Yup. A good number of folks really believe that if someone calls cops ("good guys") out for abuse, they are siding with criminals ("bad guys"). One can be against criminals and abusive cops at the same time. In fact, both are criminals

The story does not say anything about this. It does break down the death at the hands of cops by race. According to the Guardian, as of today in 2015 here's the breakdown of the races of those killed by cops:

White: 315
Black: 172
Hispanic: 96
Other/unknown: 51
Asian/Pacific Islander: 12
Native American: 8

You can't compare US police shootings to other countries with different socioeconomic statuses, populations, and laws.

If you honestly believe that, then it's a waste of time to even continue this discussion.

In the UK, people treat each other with respect. It's incredibly different there. Americans are selfish.
